WebSphere with DB2 is the original and most common. There’s a variety of customers running the stack, and nearly as wide a variety of options for how companies may have deployed their JDE solution. What this means is that for many customers (and I’ll get into particulars shortly) there’s a requirement to make a critical decision to either move to Oracle’s Red Stack, or procure new IBM licenses in order to remain on IBM’s Blue Stack. The final nail in this coffin comes on September 30, 2016, when technical support officially ends.
